Watercress barns are located on a former watercress farm. In 19th century The Farm produced high quality watercress, that was sold locally and in London's Covent Garden. Today watercress is no longer farmed in Newington, but the spring-fed lagoons are a brilliant haven for wildlife.
The farm is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts. Look out for water shews, eels, polecats, rabbits, badgers , grass snakes and frogs. Variety of bird species like Herons, Kingfishers, Grey Wagtails, Wrens, Moorhens, Water Rails, Bittern and common buzzards can be spotted and heard on the farm.

Milton Court - Milton Regis, Kent
Grade II Listed holiday homes in the center of historic town
Milton Court is a collection of four Grade II listed buildings of character and charm running through. Houses have a long history which dates back many hundreds of years.
Internally, the wealth of period features is displayed, with beams and timbers, fireplaces including a magnificent inglenook and original timber wall panelling.
The properties are ideally situated for those looking to explore the history of the area with Milton Court Hall being only 5 min walk away. The Court Hall dates from about 1450 and is one of the most historic buildings in Swale. The Hall has had many uses during its lifetime. It was originally the town’s civic centre serving both as a court and administrative centre, and then it became the guildhall and trading standards office. It has also been a school for poor boys of the area. Today it houses a small museum of local interest.
Nearby you can also visit Holy Trinity Milton Regis - an ancient grade I listed church on the banks of Milton Creek. The church has the largest tower in Kent and the third largest in England.
